the Climate Change Network Nigeria (CCN Nigeria) in collaboration with the Special Climate Change Unit of the Federal Ministry of Environment is organizing a one-day National Conversation on Climate Change/UN seal the deal campaign 2009 with theme: scaling up plan of actions for Nigeria’s roadmap to Copenhagen 2009 on Wednesday, 23rd September 2009, at Gubabi Royal Hotel, OPP. PDP Secretariat, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, by 9am – 5pm.
Climate Change Network Nigeria (CCN Nigeria) is a national coalition of over one hundred and twenty (120) diverse civil society organizations from across Nigeria; working to promote a climate-friendly Nigeria through a multi-sector approach and partnership – public, private, civil society sectors. It came into existence in 2006 as an imperative measure to evolve and spur up a national CSO-led integrated stakeholders’ involvement in climate solution campaign for effective mitigation, adaptation and national response to the deadly impacts/vulnerability of climate change. CCN Nigeria works in partnership with the Special Climate Change Unit of the Federal Ministry of Environment of Nigeria, Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) and UNEP’s Climate Neutral Network (CN Net).

These projects were approved to check the depletion of ozone layer,greenhouse
effect by the system known as clean development mechanism (CDM) lunched
at china.Developing countries need support and finance to invest while 1.6 billion
people lack access to clean energy investment.
This allow developed countries to meet their greenhouse gasses target
by investing in clean energy projects in the developing world.
